WHAT THE TOP 30% OF ORGANISATIONS KNOW THAT YOU DON’T 👉
🚨"As a leading figure in business transformation, I've noticed a clear trend in the questions being asked by leaders, managers, and consultants. What's striking is how these questions align with the core principles I've been advocating for years" " 🚀🎉🧳 #BusinessTransformation #HOBA #AgileTransformation

4. What are the ten most important questions organizations should ask themselves before embarking on a digital transformation?
Before embarking on a digital transformation journey, organizations should assess readiness, clarify objectives, and identify potential challenges. Key questions may revolve around organizational culture, technology infrastructure, talent capabilities, and anticipated ROI.
5. What are the four questions every transformative leader needs to answer?
Transformative leaders must define the vision for transformation, mobilize support, allocate resources effectively, and measure progress towards desired outcomes. These fundamental questions shape their approach and decision-making.
6. What are the ten questions to ask about a digital transformation strategy?
Crafting a robust digital transformation strategy requires careful consideration of business goals, technology capabilities, customer needs, and risk management. Asking the right questions ensures alignment and enhances the likelihood of success.
In the context of business transformation – there are hundreds of questions. The trick is to distill them down to the key questions, the key questions that determine success or failure. These are what we call the 5W1H – the 5-strategic questions asked of the Business Transformator, and Business Transformation:
- WHY - why is the organisation transforming (this is the Vision)? [Note - Vision on its own is useless, you need the HOW (ie the Strategies - there are four - people, process, technology and data); the WHAT (ie Objectives - what are the outcomes of each of the Strategies you want to achieve); WHEN (ie the Metrics or Measures when the Objectives are to be achieve). Collectively, we call that the VSOM model, and we have that incorporated into HOBA);
- WHO - Who's involved in the business that is impacted, and also involved in your decision making processes (and related to that, what then is your decision-making processes);
- WHAT - what are the problem and opportunities in the current operating model that the Business was to remove and take advantage of);
- WHY - there are actually two 'WHYs' - and that is missed in the marketplace today. The first WHY is the 'strategic-WHY', the second WHY is the 'operations-WHY' aka Business Benefits. There are the Business Benefits the Business-Operations wants to or plans to realise from the transformation
- WHERE & HOW - this is the 'where and how' does the current operating model need to change, to enable the business to realise the planned benefits, address the pain points and take advantage of opportunities in the the current operating model, agreed by your governance decision-making boards, that enable the Organisation to executive its strategy, achieve its objectives and measures and reach its Vision, and
- WHEN - when will the changes be implemented and when will the planned business benefits be realised.
Those are all you are trying to answer and address with your transformation. For every piece of work you do on your project or program, needs to be traced back to address and/or answering those questions. If not – you are wasting your time aka putting lipstick on the pig.-
7. How do digital leaders place a premium on internal collaboration for successful digital transformation?
Digital leaders foster a collaborative culture within their organisations by leveraging platforms like HOBA and the Design Process. These frameworks facilitate cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and transparency.
👏 "It's not surprising to see a focus on elements like strategic vision, organizational culture, and stakeholder engagement. What's truly reaffirming is that these inquiries underscore the fundamental truth I've long emphasized: the success of business transformation hinges not on processes, technology, or data alone, but on people. The human factor—leadership, communication, and collaboration—is the linchpin of successful transformation efforts." 🚀🎉🧳 #BusinessTransformation #HOBA #AgileTransformation

8. What are the top leadership styles in management, and how can one identify the right style for their team?
Leadership styles vary depending on context and organisational culture. Effective leaders [should] adapt their style based on situational demands and the needs of their team.
9. What interview questions are important for business managers?
Important interview questions for business managers assess leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, communication proficiency, and alignment with organizational values. These questions delve into experience, decision-making processes, and approach to driving change.
10. What are some great questions every business transformation leader or manager should ask?
When hiring Business Transformation Consultants and Consultancies, Business Leaders and Manager should ask critical questions to validate their business transformation approach. It should be simple, and straight forward and easy to understand. It needs to be, unless you want the Consultants to never leave, and be forever translating it for you, and managing any and all changes to it, because [wait for it] you dont understand it.
If it sounds wishy-washy or you walk out the room and you dont know or understand what was said, in the room, that is ‘marketecture’, and you just dodged a silver-bullet.
You are just about to be sold a turkey, or pig dressed up as lamb, your project floor will soon be rammed with junior consultants, a separate room will be commandeered and renamed “war-room’ and every conceivable management consultancy and business model and diagram known to man is about to be plastered on it, and a new ceremony is going to take place for each new addition and/or version is stuck up there, as if that was the deliverable for the transformation.
Conclusion
To be clear – that is not the deliverable nor outcome for the transformation, those ‘things of beauty’, admittedly, they are beautiful pieces of work, but they do nothing for moving you closer nor faster to the outcome you are seeking aka a transformed organisation or implemented and operating Target Operating Model (TOM). They are designed to justify the Consultancies existence and the massive bill you have just received. Don’t fall for that trap.
