The Problem We Saw
After years of working inside enterprise and government transformation programmes, the pattern was clear. Too many programmes started with technology, tools, vendors, templates, or delivery activity. Too few started with the business: the strategy, operating model, governance, people, process, information, benefits, and real operational change required to make transformation succeed.

The Market Was Missing the Business Layer
The problem was not that organisations lacked tools. Most already had project tools, architecture tools, process tools, agile tools, delivery tools, and technology platforms.
The problem was that these tools rarely gave leaders and teams a clear, business-led method for connecting strategy to execution. There was no common language that joined up the business problem, the current operating model, the future operating model, the benefits case, and the deliverable roadmap.
HOBA® was created to fill that gap. It gives organisations a practical structure for defining the business problem, aligning decision-makers, understanding the current state, designing the target operating model, mapping benefits, and turning transformation intent into a deliverable roadmap.

The original idea was simple: create the practical handbook that transformation teams needed but could not find.
