1. Commitment
HOBA Tech Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050 in line with UK Government targets. As a UK-based SME delivering digital transformation and enterprise architecture software and services, we recognise our responsibility to minimise our environmental impact and support our clients in their own decarbonisation efforts.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and the supporting guidance for the procurement of major government contracts.
2. Baseline Emissions Footprint
HOBA Tech is a fully remote-first digital business with no dedicated office premises. Our primary emissions sources are:

Note: As a sub-£10m turnover SME with no complex manufacturing or logistics, our baseline is low. We will refine these figures using the SME Climate Hub calculator and seek to establish more precise Scope 3 data in the next reporting cycle.
3. Current Emissions Reduction Initiatives
The following measures are already in place:

| No company car fleet | Directors and staff use personal vehicles or public transport; no grey fleet fuel reimbursed. |

5. Reduction Projects (Next 12 Months)
- Cloud hosting optimisation: Migrate non-latency-sensitive workloads to AWS regions with 100% renewable energy backing (e.g., eu-west-1 Ireland).
- Supplier engagement: Require key subcontractors and training venue providers to demonstrate their own carbon reduction commitments.
- Travel policy: All business flights require director approval; rail is the default for UK domestic travel.
- Measurement improvement: Engage an external carbon accounting provider in FY2026/27 to produce a verified emissions report.
6. Declaration
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been approved by the Board of HOBA Tech Ltd and will be reviewed and updated annually.
