We're engaging experienced business transformation practitioners to support client delivery across New Zealand and Australia — as associates, contractors, or fractional delivery leads using the HOBA® methodology.

HOBA Tech works with a bench of senior associates who can step into client engagements across strategy, operating model, business architecture, and transformation delivery. Engagements are project-based and scoped to client need — sometimes advisory, sometimes hands-on delivery, sometimes a blend of both. If you are tired of methodologies that produce decks but not outcomes, HOBA is built differently.
ABOUT YOU
You are a seasoned transformation practitioner who knows that successful change requires more than diagrams and governance boards. You are part strategist, part designer, part facilitator, and part delivery lead. You can hold a room of senior stakeholders, structure complex problems, and produce work that clients can actually implement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support end-to-end business transformation engagements using the HOBA methodology
- Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders to define vision, outcomes, and scope
- Design and document Target Operating Models, capability maps, roadmaps, and implementation plans
- Translate strategy into implementable change — not just diagrams and decks
- Work alongside client teams to align leadership, process, people, technology, and data
- Contribute to business cases, benefit tracking, and transformation governance
- Mentor and coach client practitioners in HOBA concepts and tools

EXPERIENCE WE LOOK FOR
- 5+ years in business transformation, strategy consulting, change management, or business architecture
- Proven track record on complex organisational change or operating model initiatives
- Strong facilitation, workshop design, and stakeholder management skills
- Understanding of business strategy, operating models, capability design, and change execution
- Experience in government, financial services, or large enterprise preferred
- Australian / New Zealand work authorisation or valid work visa
PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED)
- Business architecture, change management, or programme management certification
- Strategy consulting experience (Big 4, boutique, or independent)
- Agile / Scrum familiarity and certifications
- Existing HOBA certification or willingness to certify
- Experience with public sector procurement, tendering, or delivery
